Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This policy explains what information SimplBizz collects when you use our website and platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to our marketing website, our client platform, and the compliance services we deliver.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, purchase a service or subscription, book a consultation, request a quote, or contact us.
- Identity and contact details — name, email address, mobile number, and postal address.
- Statutory identifiers — PAN and, where you are GST-registered, your GSTIN. PAN is used as your login identifier for client accounts.
- Business details — company or firm name, legal structure, and registration identifiers such as CIN or LLPIN where relevant to the service you have engaged us for.
- Records you upload — invoices, bank statements, payroll data, and other documents you provide so that we can deliver the compliance service you have purchased.
- Transaction records — what you purchased, the amount, and the payment reference. Card and bank details are handled by our payment gateway and are never stored on our servers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and usage activity collected through cookies and analytics.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to deliver the services you have engaged us for, to operate and secure your account, and to meet our own legal obligations.
- Providing the services you purchase, including preparing and filing returns and registrations on your behalf.
- Creating and maintaining your account, and controlling which modules your subscription gives you access to.
- Processing payments and issuing invoices and receipts.
- Sending service communications — order confirmations, filing reminders, compliance deadlines, and account or security notices.
- Responding to your enquiries and providing support.
- Improving our services and understanding how the platform is used.
- Meeting our obligations under applicable Indian law, including record-keeping requirements.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your information on the basis of the contract between us, your consent where you have given it, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform. Where processing is required by law — for example, retaining records for a statutory period — we rely on that legal obligation.
You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing, such as marketing communications, at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and may limit our ability to provide services that depend on the information concerned.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to deliver our services or where we are legally required to do so.
- Government and statutory portals — including the Income Tax Department, GSTN, and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, where filing on your behalf is the service you have engaged us for.
- Service providers — payment gateways, email delivery providers, cloud hosting and analytics providers, each engaged under terms requiring them to protect your information.
- Professional advisers — chartered accountants and company secretaries engaged to deliver your service.
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. These include encryption in transit, hashed credential storage, role-based access controls limiting which of our staff can view client data, and audit logging of changes to client records.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take our obligations seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as is necessary to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. Records relating to filings and financial transactions are generally retained for the statutory period applicable to those records under Indian law.
When information is no longer required, we delete it or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, request deletion where we are not required to retain it, and object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Analytics providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.
On our marketing website we may also use advertising measurement tools, such as the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to understand which advertisements bring visitors to us and to show relevant advertisements on those platforms. These tools record page visits and actions such as submitting an enquiry or adding a service to the cart. They do not receive your tax, financial or account data.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent parts of the platform, including sign-in, from working correctly.
9. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and for individuals aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
